Mime Fest

MIME FEST is a prestigious international festival focused on presenting contemporary mime and nonverbal theatre. This festival serves as an important platform for artists, collaboration with schools, major institutions in the field of mime arts, and foreign festivals. Mime Fest attracts not only theatre professionals but also a wide audience, offering them the opportunity to explore various approaches and forms of mime that combine traditional techniques with modern artistic trends.

The festival takes place regularly in Polička, in Eastern Bohemia, where renowned artists from around the world, as well as new talents, showcase their work. In addition to the performances, Mime Fest also features workshops, discussions, and other accompanying programs that foster creativity and innovation in the field of nonverbal art. The festival contributes to the popularization of mime and its development on an international level.

Comedians in the streets

The International Festival of Street Theatre was established in Tábor in 2010. It is one of the few Czech festivals that present modern street theatre in the centre of a conservation area. Its dramaturgy focuses on the trends of contemporary street art in the Czech Republic and abroad. The festival’s domain is circus arts, clowns, pantomime, puppets, movement theatre, interactive performances, workshops or music. The main organiser is the town of Tábor. The artistic director and dramaturge of the festival is Radim Vizváry.
