MIME AND LIVE BAROQUE MUSIC

A music-theatre portrait of Jean-Philippe Rameau. Contemporary mime meets live baroque music — the body answers the notes, rhythm becomes movement. Rameau was a genius who did not fit his own time: he provoked with his music, his opinions and his appearance, and refused to bow to convention. Together with a baroque trio, Radim Vizváry looks not for a historical figure in period dress, but for the man whose genius went long unrecognised.
